Beyond The Storm's founder and Agency Principal has held Washington State Private Investigator License since founding the agency in 2014, and is a Washington State Certified Pre-Assignment Trainer.

Her investigative career began in 2000 in judgment recovery and skip tracing, and has since grown to include stalking and cyberstalking investigations, digital forensic examinations and incident response, executive and close protection, and the training of other licensed investigators. She pairs that investigative background with three decades of enterprise IT, cybersecurity, and digital forensics experience — work she also carries out through her consulting practice, Aegis IT & Digital Forensics (Aegis IT Solutions, Inc.) — to examine digital evidence, detect unauthorized surveillance and spyware, and help clients harden their own devices against further compromise.

She has personally trained multiple licensed investigators, including armed protective personnel who have gone on to provide close protection at houses of worship and executive protection during periods of elevated threat, such as corporate layoffs.  One of her former trainees went on to establish his own agency and to work as an investigator for The Innocence Project in another state.
